The Association of Friends of Tasso Family and Postal History Museum

The Association of Friends of Tasso family and Postal History Museum endorses and supports the activities of Tasso family and Postal History Museum.

The Association has only cultural and humanistic purposes related to the enhancement of the architectural heritage of the village of Cornello and to the book, paper and documentary heritage, owned by the Museum itself.
The Association is non-profitmaking, non-political character, non-partisan and carries out activities of promotion and social utility.
 
It helps to:
  • assist the Museum in the popular and didactic action with initiatives carried out in harmony with the program of the Museum management, working with the same organization of conferences, courses of lectures, visits to museums, monuments and exhibitions;
  • cooperate with particular initiatives of study, research and promotion in the artistic and documentary field with the aim of a full implementation of the statutory tasks of the Museum;
  • subscribe or promote other initiatives with the aim to restore and / or acquire particularly significant properties in the village of Camerata Cornello or to acquire important documents to the understanding of the history of the House of Tasso and of postal history in general.

Since 14 September 2014, is no longer required the payment of an annual membership fee, the members, both new and those already enrolled, will be involved will be identified whenever actions worthy of being financially supported.
 
Among the projects worthy of 2014, we note the restoration of the painting of the family of the couriers Bordogna placed in the Church of Saints Cornelius and Cyprian in Cornello.
